Obama Not The 1st Black President??

I stole this from DiversityInc.... It was so mind boggling that I could not do the subject justice.
It has been said that this year was the first time a major political party in the United States nominated a woman or a Black person as its presidential candidate. For women, that is true, but some historians say Barack Obama will not be the nation's first Black president. They say he certainly won't be the first president with Black ancestors--just the first to acknowledge his Blackness.

Which other presidents hid their African ancestry? Well, it's not Bill Clinton, even though the Congressional Black Caucus honored him as the nation's "first Black president" at its 2001 annual awards dinner. Presidents Thomas Jefferson, Andrew Jackson, Abraham Lincoln, Warren Harding and Calvin Coolidge all had Black ancestors they kept in their genealogical closets, according to historians.

Harding did not deny his African ancestry when Republican leaders called on him to deny his "Negro" history. He said, "How should I know whether or not one of my ancestors might have jumped the fence?"



Does African ancestry make these men Black? If the bar is the one-drop rule, then yes. The one-drop rule is a historical term used during the Jim Crow era that defines a person with one drop of sub-Saharan-African ancestry as not white and therefore must be Black. If that's the bar, then there have already been other Black presidents, says historian Leroy Vaughn, author of Black People and Their Place in World History.

The first president with African ancestry was Jefferson, who served two terms between 1801 and 1809. Jefferson was described as the "son of a half-breed Indian squaw and a Virginia mulatto father," as stated in Vaughn's findings. Jefferson also was said to have destroyed all documentation attached to his mother, even going to extremes to seize letters written by his mother to other people.

President Andrew Jackson, the nation's seventh president, was in office between 1829 and 1837. Vaughn cites an article written in The Virginia Magazine of History that states Jackson was the son of an Irish woman who married a Black man. The magazine also stated that Jackson's oldest brother had been sold as a slave.

Lincoln, the nation's 16th president, served between 1861 and 1865. Lincoln was said to have been the illegitimate son of an African man, according to Vaughn's findings. Lincoln had very dark skin and coarse hair and his mother allegedly came from an Ethiopian tribe. His heritage fueled so much controversy that Lincoln was nicknamed "Abraham Africanus the First" by his opponents.

President Warren Harding, the 29th president, in office between 1921 and 1923, apparently never denied his ancestry. According to Vaughn, William Chancellor, a professor of economics and politics at Wooster College in Ohio, wrote a book on the Harding family genealogy. Evidently, Harding had Black ancestors between both sets of parents. Chancellor also said that Harding attended Iberia College, a school founded to educate fugitive slaves.

Coolidge, the nation's 30th president, served between 1923 and 1929 and supposedly was proud of his heritage. He claimed his mother was dark because of mixed Indian ancestry. Coolidge's mother's maiden name was "Moor," and in Europe, the name "Moor" was given to all Blacks, just as "Negro" was used in America. It later was concluded that Coolidge was part Black.

Truancy Officer Final Chapter

I was near cracking.. Almost gave up the code to Am-Tuat. The baptizer pulled me out of the frayed wires and severed the the parasitic relationship with the Machine.

I met with lackey of the Council and the eyes of light has diminish. I plead my case and explain my approach but it was to no avail.. Deaf ears and the thunderous disapproval of my work on the grill. My job is to shovel them through the mouth of Dante's womb...
I am behind enemy lines and running out of spaces to hide. I can feel them trying to purge the red juice that keeps me going. My neurons are firing down the highway of confusion. My job is not the family or children, it is the machine... They need to power the machine. Regardless.. Lackey was quite clear that I am at the lower rung of the ladder. Thought is the worst crime ever conceived and is punishable by Erasing.. Not sure what that is but the lackey made sure that machine is not happy and the very act of independent thought is a capital offense..

Truancy Officer

I lied to the Machine when I told that that I took the blue pill... They did not see me switch it out for the red when I signed on to becoming a truancy officer.. The hatchet man, although the Ominous Council put it under the title of family.. Find out why the guppy stray from the school as they put it. I hit the pavement twisting in a jungle filled to the hilt with representatives from the UN. I was feeling high that I was doing the right thing.. That is until that red pill kicked in and reality hit me like humidity in Hell. My job is numbers not kids... Put them through the meat grinder of the judicial system. I govern the brown and destitute.. My tribe.. But it does not matter the Machine needs to be feed and I am slow on the grill. Not slow just aware because the blue pill juices my six sense and I refuse to put brown dots in the digestive system of the Machine.
I have a KGB that wants me taken down and it would of happen years ago but the red juice fuels me... I know the truth about the resurrection.. I must stand before the lackey of the Council and answer for the famine I impose....

Slavery A Full Circle

There are moments in time when I get emaotional and this one of them. The lady in the picture is Amanda Jones and she is the daughter of a slave... No lie, Amanda is 109 and I am in awe of this Black Madona that binds us to a time forgotten. . Her vote for Obama is much more than a symbolic gesture. I am mad at myself for being consume with idlenesss when I was in Texas because Ms. Jones would of had me knocking on her door with majestic offerings that are suited only for royalty.
Today after leaving a high school full of statistics I shed a tear when I read Ms. Jones's Story. She has endured more than I could ever imagine and seen more than a million dollars could ever buy. Her grandchildren our Black youth have trampled upon those struggles that she had to endure.
Black America do not pull a Million Man March, do not run around for a few days high fiving as if you hit the lotto. Obama is one man in a compromising position. Not taking anything from him but if he is a true student of Wright then Africa and her descendants will start to mend those bridges that had been cut off. For now we shall keep that thought on the back burner.
This is Ms. Anderson's time, more so than Obama....

Obama

Well it is final Obama got it and now he has to put up... I congratulate him for his win but it was a no brainer... He was running against a 72 year old and a linguistically challenge vp candidate that are members of a party that is in the league of the Nazi party in terms of reputation. Kudos Obama.....
I am still disturb by Black america's motivation. Black america has been drowning in the bodily fluids of Uncle Sam and they remain silent. If they put the effort that they put into Obama's campaign into the troubles that plague our folks a CHANGE would come... Instead they want someone to lead them and I hate the bad news for them but Obama is a politician. I know he is of African descent but in terms of African americans he did not carry the torch because that is not him. Salvation comes from the bottom up.
I wish Obama well because he has a year to show something...
I must add that is GREAT to have someone that speaks english in white house again...

Glimmer of Hope

With chaos and dirty politics on constant rotation a glimmer of sunshine came in the package of kids rapping about politics. After watching their CNN interview I started to smile. These kids display a level of intelligence that very seldom grace the front page of most newspapers. I encourage you to watch and let the daily troubles take a backseat for a little bit.

New Look For Palin

I must say Governor Palin has done something I thought was impossible.... Chuckle for a good reason. After weeks of yapping about Obama's connection to terrorist, she decided to appear on SNL and it was funny. Grant it she does what she does best... Sit there and grin but she allowed humor at her expense. For that reason I will give her a kudos.

Reggie My Negro Lover

Reggie left a rather rude remark regarding Obama. I guess the truth hurts that the fact still remains that the White House will be painted black. I am not sure who you are Reggie because you cower behind obscurity. I like it when someone leaves a message but no return address... I am tired of the racist remarks thrown at Obama. Lets be realistic Mr./Mrs. Redneck, ya'll lost to a Black man... A bonified African and there is nothing you can do about it. I am glad for Barry and sad because they waited til things fell completely apart before turning the reigns of power over to someone of color. I believe he will get it because the White House is near the hood and if the decide to pull a 2k..... Toussaint L Overture shall rise from the dead.
So scream at the top of your lungs those hateful remarks because it is in vain... Remember this acronym HNIC and that is Obama.

BRAVO McCAIN

At a Minnesota, a woman told McCain: "I don't trust Obama. I have read about him and he's an Arab."

McCain shook his head and said, "No ma'am, no ma'am. He's a decent family man...[a] citizen that I just happen to have disagreements with on fundamental issues. That's what this campaign is all about."

With that display I applaud you, NOT support you... It does not excuse the disrespectful tactics you have used to derail Obama's campaign. We know that the Republican party is not entirely to blame (hands still dirty though) Watch the videos and judge for yourself. Remember ignorance is the fear of actual truth.

Presidential Debate part 2

Blah... Blah.. Blah.. Health care blah blah tax cuts for everyone and for no one.. Blah blah... Iraq, Iran, Israel Blah blah.
We are looking at a fighter past his prime in the ring going against a much younger fighter. It is like watching someone beat up their grandfather.
After a point the debate change my opinion on the process of choosing a president. When the only candidates we see is two parties. This is not a democracy, far from it!!!
We know the witty African is going to win it thanks to the economic disaster. Why bother with this boring rhetoric of saying nothing. He is going to kill Obama (wink, wink)... Did you buy this.
I believe we need to select a candidate the same way religious officials appoints a living god.
Lets have a panel of judges conduct a series of ancient ceremonies to select the goddess (president) from several 2- to 4-year-old girls (in this case a person that is legal age for candidacy) who are all members of the impoverished Shakya goldsmith caste (in the US those that are of sound character).

The judges read the candidates' horoscopes and check each one for physical imperfections. The living god(dess) must have perfect hair, eyes, teeth and skin with no scars, and should not be afraid of the dark.

As a final test, the living god(dess)/candidate must spend a night alone in a room among the heads of ritually slaughtered goats and buffaloes without showing fear.

Seriously though I have my pick but my lips are sealed.... I will say one thing though, Go alternative. Remember blah.. blah.. blah is not the key and the only change is to shut the government down and demand accountability.

Why is it we only have two canidates at the debate.. The Libiterians & Green Party are legitiment parties but the prties to be deny them the opportunity to have a legit public platform. People are subjected to selecting a canadates on the premise of the lesser of two evils. I urge everyone to vote but vote with sense and not what the fourth branch of the government (media) wants you to.

Presidential Debate/Dud

Election time is around the corner and the only thing I got is helium. Nothing but sound bites - stop corporate greed, I new Iraq was wrong, like my fellow maverick, change..... blah, blah blah.
No one was ballsy enough to say everything I had plan is shot; Iraq we're stuck and so are the contractors; The homeless and the real poor not suburbia needs help;the old concept winning a war is not feasible and ultimately we want your soul; America produces only debt nothing else, everything is made abroad.
Lets string those rich blood suckers of the poor up by heels and treat them like the leader of Italy Benito Mussolini. Two parties and not one made feel fuzzy inside.
I am waiting for the pride of Alaska and the poster child for Tourettes to battle it out.
I somewhat do agree with Kenya's son that change comes from the bottom up. It is not through the leadership in the community. The president becomes who his cabinets members are. Bush is an exception but you cannot fault a special needs kid.
Vote to have more than one party to be a participant at the debate. Why is it we very seldom see a third party. Better yet let some of the third party candidates help moderate the debate.
Prepare people because a new day is on the horizon and it is not in our favor.

James David Manning, pastor at ATLAH World Missionary Church, 38 W. 123rd St. in Harlem has reached a new low. I am not on the Obama band wagon but I do not tolerate anyone calling someone's mother trash because of their choice in mate. Mr. Manning is lucky that I am not in NYC because my actions would make CNN.
My mama told me and I trust my mama, and her mama told her, and she trusts her mama, and I trust both of them. But my mama told me back in the '50s and the '60s, the only kind of white woman that would take up with a black man back in the '50s and the '60s was a trashy white woman. The only kind of white woman that would take up with a black man in the '50s and the '60s was a sloozy. Was a floozy! Was a low-life, snail-eating white woman. That's the kind of woman that Obama's mama was. And that's what my mama told me. And if you don't like it, go tell my mama that you don't like it....

Blacks 9-11 "Our Terrorist Attack"

Today is the sad anniversary of the Sixteenth Street Baptist Church 1963 Bombing. 10.22 a.m. is when the bomb exploded killing Denise McNair (11), Addie Mae Collins (14), Carole Robertson (14) and Cynthia Wesley (14).
This was the catalyst that open the eyes to the cowardice and sick mental state of the racist that ran amok in the South. The Birmingham 4 or as I refer to them Patron Saints of the movement. They killed in church... Sadly the only one media talked about the anivesary and that was NPR.
What happen black people??? Four kids were martyred so that you can run around stuck on stupid wondering why Uncle Sam keeps kicking your ass. It is because you have died the worst death of all... A Mental Death!!!
