Childhood Lost

I am the last one that gets into holidays. I do love going down childhood memory lane.
Which brings me to yet another WTF this Halloween. Were is my boy Linus!!!! Again as the years go by they strip away any remnant of childhood.
After dealing with my own horror fest in the school system (students and teachers)I do not need a zombie or some other "R" rated movie this time of year. Just would like to see the reason why Halloween is for that inner child in all of us.

Adventures In Substitute Teaching

I am for the state taking custody of those so called problem child. Today I walked into another class from the twilight zone I thought that the class was going to be easy because their were only 5 students.. I was wrong!! First I knew a storm was brewing when the only girl had on a shirt two sizes to small and stiletto thigh high boots-oh did I mention this was a 8th grade class. The class was rowdy, I had one kid walk out and when I made an attempt to talk to talk to him he basically walked down to the office and complain that I was disrespecting after he told me that he does not have to listen to me and walk out of the class.
Oh did I mention that I had an aid that had no experience with inner city children, every time a child acts out she wants to reason with them.
Anyway the girl refuse to do her homework and I sent her out but like a boomerang they sent her back after she was blatantly disrespectful shy of telling me to fuck myself (which came later in the day) The next child was very bright just stuck on stupid. He almost made the Spanish teacher leave along with the other kids. He was sent out then I had two boys almost get into it but I talked to them and they came back straight but that stripper in training just refuse to shut up or read. Eventually she started to call me all sorts of "mfs" and any other words. She also threaten to hit me with a Gatorade bottle. She was gone for the rest of the day
I am assign to this class for the next two days.
I am for the state taking custody of children like this and putting them up in gender separated boarding school that put an emphasis on civility. It may sound cruel but this could cut the cost of tax dollars going towards prison or some sort of welfare system. I am not talking about one race but any kid that has a sorry parent that expects the teacher to raise their kid/s. Look for me on CNN cause if one of those knuckle heads put their hands on me well lets just leave it at that.....

Why Is It Democrats Have The Black Vote

I have ponder this question time and time again. Not only has the Republicans came up short but the democrats did not win the popular vote. There is a sickness in the inner city which stems back to Regan era when crack, aids and the mental hospital discharge countless people without any support. This filter into the black communities and when you fuse this with the declining job opportunities of the eighties you have a recipe for destruction.
I am tired of these so call debates between the democratic candidates.... yeah I get it you guys are for the poor and you're going to tax the hell out of your rich friends. The truth is that a disproportionate amount of the Black youth are mentally dead. I have asked over a hundred students from grades 7 to 12 about Brown vs the Board of Education and only 3 were able to give somewhat a general explanation of the decisions importance. My point is that Blacks need to stop being a slave - stop depending on some outside force to take care of your needs as if your in some perverted necromancy. Sharpton and Jesse should be tied to the tree of woe.
Were are the so call black leaders when it comes to bettering the community. Playing it safe such as Obama by saying "It is absolutely critical for us to recognize that there are going to be responsibilities on the part of African American and other groups to take personal responsibility to rise up out of the problems we face,"
How are you going to do your part.... I did not here we as African Americans.....

Pissed

I have been troubled this whole week because of the horrific events surrounding two girls (3 & 6) One was raped and hung while the other was raped on video.
Darren Tuck is the man that allegedly found the tape of the girl that was molested. He turn himself in to the authorities because he decided to show the tape to some people.
Tuck's attorney Harry Kuehn said last week on CNN's "Nancy Grace" that Tuck had been "wracked by indecision" as to what to do with the tape once he realized what it was. That is some crap. He knew and should get the 10 years he is facing and then some. His lawyer should have one of his knee caps blown away for making a lame statement like that.
The man in the video is Chester A. Stiles better pray that I do not stubble upon him cause hell is what I would give him.

Been A Long Time

Up until this point I had nothing to write about until I step foot in the twilight zone of the school system today. I decided to take on a magna high school, you know the best and the brightest...Well I was fooled or Serling is somewhere laughing hysterically..
First the class that I took was a remedial math class for those kids that will not get diploma. They will receive what is called certificate of completion ie a paper stating they were there. Magna school right? That is not the kicker 95% of the students either had a record (probation) or waiting on their court date. Magna huh...
That is not all of it by a loong shot!!! Their assign consist of questions such as seven hundred forty nine and they had to write as 749 so what the hell is 70049!!!
Kids were proud of being ignorant and sadly if your a fool as a senior 9 out of ten times you'll be a fool unless divine intervention happens ie a rapping in prison not much else will wake that person up.
I love the school in all of it's unsoundness because screams for salvation but back to the story.
There was this creepy detective hanging out all day at this school and at the end of the day there was 4 cop cars and my gas was stolen..... I have heard of movies like Dangerous Mind and I guess it is true that a room full of inner city kids only respond to a white suburbanite. Could be wrong but we'll find out because I am assign to this worm hole the rest of his week and Alice is sitting on that mushroom giggling.

I Aint No Punk but I Got My Ass Kicked by a GIRL

Yeah you heard right I got my be-hind handed to me like a side of mash potatoes by a member of the opposite sex.... I can explain this was no ordinary female, she was a borderline amazon... Oh did I mention my beat down took place at my Jujitsu class.
Anyway my instructor ask if I mind sparing and me with all my bravado said naaaah. I was paired with two different gentleman one about my size whom I held my own although he still got the best of me. The second was a former airborne G.I. Joe type and he played with me as if I was the victim in a prison rape scene non the less I did ok not great but ok. Then came Xenas nubian sister, I aint going to lie I thought I had this one in the bag until I realize my head and neck were going into to different direction while my lower half was doing some sort of spastic dance.
I asked her how long she been doing this and she replied three years and with that demon gleam in her eye an inner bitch in me that I did not know I had came out. I literally got beaten from pillar to post, I almost punched her but realize my health care probably would not cover what she could have done to me. Any way my sensei yelled time and I thought thank god this over but noooo he looked at me and said you to again.... Damn!!!! Damn!!! Round two and seven minutes later I was feeling like beat down prostitute. Time!!! Came out of the blue and I laid there saying to myself if he pairs us back up my wife will have one hell of a health insurance payment. He did not and told every one good job. Wonder Woman helped me up and told me I did good for my first time sparring (actually it was my second time but it was four months ago)
I licked my wounds and thought of my little brother laughing at me.

27-year-old Bobby Lynn Curtis of Lumberton, Texas can't understand what landed him in jail facing what could be a lifetime behind bars.
The Mauriceville native lived in this house in Lumberton with his girlfriend of one year, with her six year old son and her two year old daughter, and their 12 week old baby girl.

"I haven't been the perfect boyfriend to K.C., and with her children, but I've never laid my hands on them ever," said Curtis.

That was until this past Sunday when Curtis' girlfriend was not home, and he was trying to bathe her daughter.

"She don't like to get her hair wet or her face. I pushed the issue of washing her hair and she kept hollering. I kept getting madder and madder," said Curtis.

Curtis told police that's when he took the girl and put her in to a clothes dryer that was already running and hot.

He says he kept her there for about five seconds before taking her out.

Although the girl suffered burns to her arms, Curtis did not initially tell anyone what he did.

Curtis said, "I was too scared to say anything, hoping as young as she was it would be something she'd forget about and not remember."

But the girl remembered, and told her mother the next morning who contacted police.
You know if that was my mom he would be dead and if that child was my niece or my daughter he would be dead or damn near close... Lets just say Pulp Fiction with a broomstick.
I do not get it, honestly... Yeah he apologize but that still does not make it right. Someone should throw him in a cage with a couple of UFC fighters and let them beat the dog snot out of him. Playing War

I have just got back from playing weekend warrior for the air force... Yeah you heard right I am attached to the military and I know. It was some "bs"!!!! First it was in Florida at the worst time of the month, second it was a joke and third I got to know what it is like to have your system nearly shut down due to stupidity. Fourth I never went and no one filled me in on what to expect.
Everyone was telling me that it was going to be some Apocalypse Now type stuff and I was hyped and a little nervous. Turns out damn near everyone had cell phones, computers or some sort electronics and we stayed in some hut without ac (oh the humanity) Anyway I spent the first four days learning that no one really cooks they just take some stuff that was packaged like an "mre" (meals ready to eat) and toss it in some hot water while vegetables while still in the can was placed in along side whatever the food that is being heated up at that time.
What killed me was the big war game, they woke us up at 5 am and loaded us on a bus. Dropped us off right down from the huts after circling about twenty times in an attempt to confuse us. Then came the time for us to set up our station and the trick was we had to wear our chemical suits, imagine a five pound parka with a gas mask in 100 degree heat and the kicker is that they wanted us to continue setting up. 45 minutes later we were able to take off the hell suit and I was done. Started to hallucinate and wanted to talk to an Imam that was not there. I went to the tent with ac in order to get my bearings straight but a chaplain assistant was there and man can they chatter. I almost told him I was satanist and was upset that I missed the right of passage ritual for my kids were we bath in goats blood and drink goats seaman mixed with minstrel blood. Instead I dragged my carcass from the table and tried some Gatorade and someone added some sugar "wtf" and then I smelled that stuff they called food... It was all over I ran somewhere private and hurled, right when I was about to go down for the count lightning went shot across the sky and everything went dark. From no where a storm hit, man I thought that I was playing a role in the bible. Anyway that helping hand from the Big Kahuna allowed me some time to get my bearings straight.
My beef is that if we were in the desert and was hit by some chemicals were screwed... The desert has no water and if we were in a contaminated area then we are screwed and setting up a tent is not going to help because we can not use it. 45 minutes we would be praying for some higher power to end the suffering.
After the day was over and spending practically a week in heat they put us up in air conditioning tents that threw my core temp off. I got sick and here I am still spitting out phlegm.
Damn.... I could have been home doing something constructive with my life...

Where Are The Heroes????

Batman, Superman & Spider Man we know the names and faces as the icons of the comic book world. I enjoy reading comics but the lack of someone that looks like me or any other person of color is obvious.
I believe this is an important subject because it plays on a kid when the only entity of their child hood fantasy does not look like them.
One person that has been overlook during black month is Orrin. C. Evans (1902-1971). He created the first Black Comic book with real black characters. In 1947 he formed a partnership to publish a Black comic which included Harry T. Saylor, his friend Bill Driscoll. Orrin was determined that the book book will not be a some minstrel show and maintain educational standards. He co-created the features in the comic along with the artists who included his brother, George J Evans Jr, two other Philadelphia cartoonists, one of whom was John Terrill, the other named Cooper, and a Baltimore artist who signed his work Cravat.
Some of the characters were Ace Harlem a hard nose detective and Lion Man a young scientist, sent by the United Nations to watch over the fearsome ‘magic mountain’ of the African Gold Coast.
Unfortunately the book was short live.
There were Black super heroes that came afterwards such as the Black Panther and Power Man but they were created by white artist. There is nothing wrong with them and I push my kids towards them.
It was not until 1993 that another attempt at Black ownership of a super hero universe was attempted again. Milestone Media which comprise of Dwayne McDuffie, Denys Cowan, Michael Davis and Derek T. Dingle.
Some of the characters were:
Icon - a story of Augustus Freeman IV, an alien who had crash-landed into slavery in 1839 and grown up to become a Booker T. Washington conservative type until 15-year-old Raquel Ervin convinced him to become Icon, a super-hero to inspire people, with herself, Rocket, as his sidekick.


Blood Syndicate - A super-powered street gang with a realistic look at the gang experience. The series featured the death of one character early on, a crack-addicted member and another member trying to hide his sexual orientation from the others.

Hardware - A young genius whose corporate father-figure, Edwin Alva, turned out not only to have no respect for him, but to be a major criminal. Curtis Metcalf built himself a suit of armor and, acting as the vigilante Hardware, use it to take revenge on his creator. He would eventually join with Alva, and take over his position, finding himself struggling not just with personal ethics but business ethics as well.

Static - A 15-year-old Virgil Hawkins, who had gained electrical powers at the Big Bang. Static dealt with a crush on his best friend Frieda and another friend running guns. Later the charcter was turn into a cartoon.

Sadly the Milestone Media nixed the comic book world in 1997 due to lack of support... Now the company is primarily a licensing company, focusing on its television property.

Interestingly enough while watching JUSTICE LEAGUE UNLIMITED I notice that Wonder Woman seemed dare I say "ethnic" and to my surprise and glee Dwayne McDuffie was the producer/writer and to make me even more ecstatic his character Static won an Emmy and Humanitas Prize winning animated series Static Shock.
I have no problems with the current mainstream superheroes, I am a comic book geek and I am still called Batman by folks that remeber me running around with a towe tied around my neck. I feel the comic book universe still has away to go before they can have an honest representation of the vast human spectrum. I am not asking for a constant barrage of political stories just seeing someone with a tint saving the world would be nice and PARENTS support these characters before they disappear.

An Anarchist Cook Book - Chocolate Pecan Pie

4 ounces semisweet chocolate
1 cup chocolate chips
2 tablespoons margarine, melted
3 eggs
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup corn syrup (light or dark)
2 cups pecan pieces or 1 1/4 cups pecan halves
1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell, homemade or frozen

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
In a double boiler melt chocolate and margarine. Let cool slightly. Beat eggs lightly in medium bowl. Add sugar, corn syrup & chocolate mixture; stir until well blended. Mix in pecans.
Set pie shell on heavy-duty baking sheet pan and pour in filling. Bake 50 to 55 minutes, until knife inserted midway between center and rim comes out clean. I usually turn the oven off at the 35 minute mark and leave the pie in the oven for the remaining time.
Cool pie to room temperature before cutting.

Mad as Hell

I only have a few words on these sick mother fuckers...For those of you that have been under a rock these past few days... The two pictured killed two and severly injured one during a home invasion.
Authorities say the men broke into the home of Dr. William Petit Jr. early Monday morning and held the family hostage for several hours. One of them forced Petit's wife to make a withdrawal at a local bank later that morning, triggering suspicion among bank employees, police said.
Police were notified and rushed to the Petits' home, where they encountered the fleeing suspects and found the family's home ablaze. Petit, who remained in stable condition at St. Mary's Hospital on Thursday, had been beaten and bound in the basement but managed to escape the fire. The bodies of his wife and their daughters 17-year-old Hayley and 11-year-old Michaela were found inside.
The men are being charged with assault, sexual assault, kidnapping, robbery and arson.
I do not want to kill them oh no... I suggest that they are sent to Rikers and share a cell with a few of some big burly angry men that need new girlfriends. Give them immunity for what ever damage is inflicted upon them, I mean some shit that makes Oz look G rated. Do not kill them just make them suffer for a long time.

Another sad event that makes me want to vomit..


This lady was found dead in the trunk of her car at the Miami airport. The police believe her boyfriend may be the likely culprity due to her stating that she fears him and phone records show that she did talk to him thirty minutes before she vanish.. What is so jacked up is her last name.. Innocent how jacked is that, that is what she was....
I opt for the Oz treatmeant for whomever did this. Yeah I know it sounds sick but if my money is going to keep these assholes on death row then I want to get my moneys worth..

I caught a story on CNN about a Rhode Island cat named Oscar that stays at a nursing home is said to predict the death of residents (25 and counting). Within four hours of Oscar cuddling with a resident they die (again 25 and counting), no one can explain. If you own a cat beware.........

History

The other day I was watching the new A & E Mad Men and realize the black experience of the past is missing on tv. It seems that when the "Great Depression" is referred to I see soup lines filled with destitute whites. The various documentaries make it seem that everyone was in the same boat. In fact they got the experience of being non white. I remember my great grandmother telling me about the depression as being another day because being black back in those days was two steps from being back on the plantation. Between Jim Crow and the Klan it was another day. A Slight mention of Marcus Garvey would be nice.....
When the fifties are mention it is talked about in terms of the suburb exodus or the Leave it To Beaver era, again were are the black folk... Back of the history bus. I am sure some people did have a nice upbringing but not being able to go anywhere is a big statement. Malcolm X anyone he was around in the fifties
Oh and I am tired of Elvis, one of the greatest innovators of music was Miles Davis, Charlie Parker, Dizzy to name a few. If you want to mention rock and roll Chuck Berry or Little Richard comes to mind.
Anyway the good ol' 60's I am tired of seeing naked dirty drugged up white people on every special. Can I get Huey, yeah I know that Martin was around but there were other things going on. I want to get a tangible image.
